QEP committee finalizes writing prompt, rubric

Institutional Effectiveness — Richland College’s Quality Enhancement Plan faculty committee met this week to finalize the common writing prompt and assessment rubric to be used as a direct measure of the effectiveness of Richland College’s QEP, Learning to Learn: Developing Learning Power. Carol Kent, QEP faculty director, led the group in the discussion to fine tune the criteria description and adjust levels of desired competency. These adjustments were based on a review of sample student essays collected in QEP pilot sections this past spring.
