English professor pens book on persuasive business writing

Student Success —  Royce Murcherson, Richland College English professor, who also teaches technical writing, has written “The Guide to Persuasive Business Writing,” a book to help students learn the art of persuasive business writing through concise and compelling communications techniques. Dr. Murcherson, who has taught at Richland College since 1997, invites her students to think of every business document, whether an email, memo, letter, job application or report, as an argument composed with proper tone, ethics, and professionalism conducive to workplace writing.
