T-Ducks Win, 3-3 In Conference

The Richland College basketball team ended its first round of conference play with a win against the Cedar Valley Suns 64-54, Jan. 31.

This gives the T-Ducks a 3-3 conference record, going into the next phase.

From the free-throw line, the T-Ducks went 19-20 and freshman Turhan Square sunk every shot, making 10 for 10.

Sophomore Dwight Gentry led the T-Ducks in points with 16, hitting three for three above the arch. He also led the T-Ducks in rebounds with seven.

Sophomore Nick Morey came through with 13 points and 4 rebounds.

The T-Ducks took control of the ball, only allowing eight turnovers.

The T-Ducks face the North Lake College Blazers at 2 p.m., Feb. 3 on the Blazer’s home court. The Blazers are tied with the Brookhaven College Bears for first place in conference.
