Richland loses second straight conference game at home
For the second time in three Metro-Athletic Conference games, the Richland College basketball team lost a tough game down the stretch at home on Saturday as the T-Ducks fell, 65-62, to Cedar Valley College.
Richland was unable to hit key free throws and make critical plays toward the end of the game and that helped lead to the loss, which dropped Richland to 1-2 in the conference. The T-Ducks were trying to win back-to-back games for the first time since defeating Southwest Christian College and International Sports Federation on Dec. 8 and Jan. 3.
Tony Bishop (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Antwan Mullins (17 points, 10 assists) led the Richland, which travels to Port Arthur on Wednesday to play Lamar State College before hosting Eastfield at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
