Men's soccer teams remains No. 3 ranked team while women drop to No. 3
In the latest NJCAA Division III soccer polls released on Wednesday, Sept. 15, the Richland College men’s soccer remained the No. 3 ranked team while the women’s team dropped from No. 2 to No. 3.
After dropping the first game of the season, the men have won four games in a row, including a 3-1 win over Mountain View College in the T-Ducks’ Metro Athletic Conference opener.
Against Mountain View College, William O’Dwyer of Dallas led the T-Ducks with a goal and an assist. Gaston Martinez of Colleyville and Joel King of Palestine also scored goals while Juan Hernandez of Dallas and Antonio Herrera of Grapevine notched assists.
On the women’s side, the T-Ducks opened conference play with a 3-0 victory over Mountain View College on Tuesday, improving their record to 2-4 on the season. Leading Richland’s scoring attack was Mary Chavarria of Dallas. She scored two goals and had an assist while Eva Griffith of Arlington added a goal and Letty Adame of El Paso and Vanessa Rivas of El Passo had assists.
