Harrison leads T-Ducks to sixth win in a row

The Lady T-Duck soccer team has won six games in a row after freshman forward Dominique Harrison led her squad to a 3-1 victory Tuesday over North Lake College in Metro-Athletic Conference play.

“Probably more importantly than the six games in a row is we made it through the first round of conference play undefeated and put ourselves in a very good spot atop the conference,” said women’s coach Rex Rayfield, whose squad is 7-3-1 and ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division III.

“That’s more important than anything because it gives us some confidence going forward to finish out conference play and look for success in the conference tournament.”

Harrison found the net twice in the first half before adding an assist on a Kayleigh Morrow goal – one that helped put the game away with 27:41 left in the game.

Harrison, who is ranked No. 23 in Division III in points with 23, scored two goals for the second game in a row.

“She was tremendous in the first half and she is starting understand how we are playing and are interacting with the other forwards,” Rayfield said. “She gave them a lot of trouble, mainly with her runs and getting them out of shape. She is really coming on strong and I look for her to do great things even more so going forward.”

The Lady T-Ducks don’t play again until Tuesday, Oct. 9 against Brookhaven College.
