Basketball team looks to rebound from loss; hits the road this week

The Richland College basketball team enters this week of action looking to rebound from a 76-63 loss to San Jacinto College-Central on Nov. 15.

 

Both of the T-Ducks’ games this week are on the road against NJCAA Division I teams. Richland travels to play Angelina College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday before hitting the road to compete against Ranger College.

After these two games, the T-Ducks will have played seven Division I teams. So far on the early season, Richland has beaten two of the higher-division teams – Hill College and Murray State.

Entering the Nov. 15 game, Tony Bishop led the T-Ducks’ balanced scoring attack with an 11.6 points per game average. Following Bishop were Chibuzo Elonu (9.4) and Deionta Mitchell (9.4), Giordan Cole (9.2) and Travis Turner (9.0.

 

Richland’s next home game isn’t until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 against Grayson College.
