Baseball team breaks out of slump in a major way; sweeps latest four-game series

The Richland College baseball team picked a good time to break out of an early slump when the T-Ducks hosted Northland Community and Technical College in a four-game series earlier this week.

After starting the season 6-2 only to lose eight of their next 11 games, the T-Ducks combined to score 61 runs en route to sweeping a four-game series over Northland Community and Technical College.

Richland opened the series with a 16-2 win that was followed by 20-0, 13-1 and 12-0 victories.

The T-Ducks, who travel to play Eastfield College in a three-game series beginning on Friday, March 12 and ending on Saturday, March 13, improved to a 13-10 record.

Richland’s next scheduled home game is at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 against Frank Phillips.
