T-Dust Alert #5 – Interruption of Water Service on Saturday, March 1

WHAT?  Continuing work to re-route storm drains and water lines for the new science building and physical plant expansion will make it necessary to interrupt water service for the installation of a large valve.

WHERE?  The work will take place on the west side of campus, including Alamito, Crockett, El Paso, Neches, Pecos, Sabine, and Yegua halls.

WHEN?  The work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008.

WHO?  This water service interruption will affect students, instructors, and staff in buildings on the west side of campus.  It will also cause Subway to suspend food service that day.

WHAT ELSE?  Since water service will be interrupted during this period, restrooms, water fountains, and water supplies to science labs will be affected.  Signs will be installed on affected restrooms redirecting individuals to facilities on the east side of campus.

HOW?   Most classes scheduled on the west side of campus Saturday morning have been relocated, where possible, to rooms on the east side of campus during the period of work interrupting water service.

WHAT IF?  If your room is affected by this service interruption and you  need additional assistance relocating a class or an activity, please contact Richland Room Coordinator Bethany Wright at x6061 or rlcrooms@dcccd.edu
