WHAT? During the upcoming Winter Break, the following renovations will take place:
- Subway will be remodeled to update its quality of service delivery and appearance.
- Ceiling tiles, lighting, and carpet will be replaced throughout El Paso Hall.
- Carpet will be replaced in Thunderduck Hall.
HOW? Subway will be closed off from the Student Cafeteria area, and remodeling and construction work will be accessed from the El Paso loading dock. The Student Cafeteria seating areas will remain accessible throughout the Subway renovation.
WHERE? Doors and corridors to El Paso Hall and Thunderduck Hall will be blocked temporarily in sections, as needed, while carpet and some sections of ceiling tiles are replaced. This work will move from one end of the buildings to the other, and sections will be re-opened as soon as possible.
WHEN? This work is scheduled to begin on Friday, December 8, 2017, and will conclude January 16, 2018. The majority of the work is anticipated to be done when the buildings are closed at night.
WHO? During the Subway renovation closure, Follett Bookstore and Cafe will be serving its usual assortment of breakfast sandwiches, muffins, yogurt, salads, lunch sandwiches, fruit, and hummus snacks, along with chips, drinks, and other snacks. HOW ELSE? The renovations are being funded by Richland College and Subway.
