WHAT? Parking Lot D will be renovated to improve deteriorated parking and driving surfaces.
WHY? This resurfacing will provide longer lasting surface stability and reduce the amount of future maintenance necessary.
HOW? Barricades and perimeter fencing will be installed to identify and prevent access into the construction area(s) during the work. The existing asphalt will be removed and replaced with concrete. Appropriate detour signage and College Police assistance will be provided to re-direct drivers to alternate parking areas on the west side of campus, as well as to assist with pedestrian safety.
WHEN? The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 16, 2017, and will conclude January 18, 2017, weather permitting.
WHERE? Parking Lot D will be unavailable for public use until the pavement improvements are completed.
HOW ELSE? The project is funded by DCCCD Facilities maintenance funds.
WHAT ELSE? Please pardon any temporary inconvenience this improvement work may cause. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated as you find alternative parking during the course of this work.
