T-Dust Alert #55 – Parking Lot C and Wichita Hall/Hondo Hall Service Drive Pavement Renovations

WHAT?  Parking Lot C and the Service Drive between Wichita Hall and Hondo Hall will be renovated to improve deteriorated parking and driving surfaces.

 WHERE?  Parking Lot C will be unavailable for public use until pavement improvements are completed, and the Service Drive will be closed to all deliveries and staff use until its renovation is completed.

 WHEN?  Work on Parking Lot C is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 6, 2015.  The Service Drive work will begin at a later date to be determined due to the STEM area construction project currently underway in Wichita Hall.  The contract mandates that the work must be completed in 70 days following the work commencing.

 HOW?  Barricades and perimeter fencing will be installed to identify and prevent access in the construction area(s).  Appropriate detour signage will be placed where needed to re-direct drivers and pedestrians during the work.

 HOW ELSE?  This campus upgrade project is being funded by DCCCD Deferred Maintenance Funds.

T-Dust Alert #54 – STEM Center and STEM Advisors Temporarily Relocate to E055

WHAT?  Due to the renovation of the STEM Center in Wichita Hall, it has been necessary temporarily to relocate the STEM Center and STEM advisors.

WHERE?  STEM advisors and the STEM Center have relocated to El Paso Hall, room E055, near the north end of Subway and next to the elevator.

WHEN?  The move has already taken place.

HOW?  Signs have been installed in Wichita Hall directing students to this temporary location, but if you see students in need of directions or STEM assistance, please direct them to E055.

HOW ELSE?  The advisors are available to advise and assist students during the following hours:  Mondays – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Tuesdays – Thursdays 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Fridays – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

WHEN ELSE?  STEM advisors and the STEM Center will return to their newly renovated facilities in Wichita Hall on December 1.
