WHAT HAPPENED? THE NOISY LIBRARY RENOVATION WORK DESCRIBED BELOW SCHEDULED FOR TODAY HAD TO BE POSTPONED DUE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR BEING CALLED TO AN EMERGENCY ON ANOTHER PROJECT.
WHEN ELSE? THE WORK WILL NOW BE CONDUCTED TOMORROW, TUESDAY, AUGUST 13.
HOW ELSE? SHHHHH! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN RECORDED HISTORY THAT A LIBRARIAN HAS EVER LET ANYONE MAKE NOISE IN A LIBRARY! RIGHT, LENNIJO?
WHAT? New ceiling grid is being installed as part of the renovation of the lower-level of the library.
HOW? The installation requires anchoring support wires to the ceiling grid using a tool that produces gun-shot-like sounds.
WHEN? This phase of the work will be conducted starting Monday at 8 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until completion.
WHO? If you hear these sounds, please do not be alarmed. Library staff and College Police have been briefed on the nature of the work and what to expect in order to assure library patrons about any safety concerns.
WHAT ELSE? Thank you for your understanding, patience, and cooperation this noise inconvenience.
