Richland Dance Announces “Momentum Dance,” Fall 2011 Informal Concert

Richland College Dance presents Momentum Dance, the Fall 2011 Informal Dance Concert, at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4, Fannin Performance Hall. Momentum Dance will feature student, faculty and guest choreography of diverse works including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, belly dance, hip hop and dance on camera. This event is free and open to the public; seating is first come.

Making her Richland College debut, Julie Russell, adjunct dance professor at Richland, will perform a contemporary solo to A Love That Will Last. Guest company Danielle Georgiou Dance Group, DGDG, will perform a modern piece to excerpts of Love and Vices by choreographer Danielle Georgiou. The concert will also feature a screening of the video Framed featuring Amanda Jackson and Melissa Watt, representing a growing collaborative culture in dance and film-making.
