Give mom something unique and handmade this Mother’s Day. The Richland College Clay Club will have a one-day sale with ceramic gifts especially designed for Mother’s Day presents. The sale will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on May 1 in El Paso Hall. All items are handmade by Richland College students.

Richland College Clay Club announces the 2011 Holiday Sale, Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. The event begins with a reception from 6-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 29 in the Brazos Gallery. The sale features work by beginning and advanced students and is open to the public. Hours of the sale are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Nov. 29; 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 30; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Dec. 1.
“This is the perfect time to see what is cooking in the Richland Ceramic Department,” said Jennifer Rose, Richland ceramics professor. “We will have something for everyone’s taste including hand-built ware and sculpture as well as wheel-thrown tableware.”
All work is fired to Cone 6; pieces intended for food are dishwasher/microwavable safe. In addition to the ceramics for sale, visitors will have the opportunity to watch Richland students demonstrate the use of the potter’s wheel throughout the course of the sale and upon request.
