Three Richland students win Terry scholarships
Student Success — Congratulations to Kathleen McGovern, Mel Tijerina and Samna Rasheed, Richland College students, who were recently awarded Terry Foundation Scholarships, each in the amount of $12,000 per year renewable for up to three years of undergraduate study. The Terry Foundation is one of Texas’ largest private providers of educational scholarships, including awards to transfer/non-traditional students who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and leadership potential. Kathleen, majoring in biology, is transferring to study pre-med at Texas A&M University this fall. Mel, majoring in electrical engineering, will be attending The University of Texas at Dallas this fall. Samna, majoring in biology, is transferring to the University of North Texas to study pre-dental this fall.
